WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (WED)

The United Nation (UN) set the 5th of June each year to celebrate the Environment since our planet earth is home to all living things especially the humankind. Thus the World Environment Day (WED) is the UN’s annual principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and sensitization for collective action on the environment.
WED has develop to be a broad global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated by stakeholders all over the world. It also serves as the “People’s Day” for doing something positive for the environment, mobilizing individual actions into a collective power that generates an exponential positive impact on the planet.
The theme for this year’s WED is “Connecting People to Nature” The NIEE 2017 World Environment Day took place on the 6th June, 2017 at the National Headquarters, National Engineering Centre, Central Business District, Abuja. With the following persons cheering the Occasion
